Solutions designed to help protect filters, pumps and injection systems from free water, sediment and contaminants in the fuel.
Fuel can become contaminated during transport, storage and operation. Water, sludge and particles may therefore reach filters, pumps and injectors, increasing the risk of clogging, wear and system malfunction.
Scandiesel offers two products with different but complementary functions:
- Micro Separator, for the physical separation of water and contaminants;
- Fuel Stabiliser, for complementary magnetic fuel treatment.
Discover the solutions

Protecting the fuel system before the filter
Free water, sediment and residues can collect in the fuel tank and circulate through the system.
Treating the fuel before the main filter helps reduce the amount of contamination reaching the most sensitive downstream components.
The system configuration can be selected according to:
- fuel type;
- system flow rate;
- tank volume;
- engine characteristics;
- connection size.
How the fuel treatment system works

Our Solutions
Fuel from the tank first passes through the Micro Separator, which helps separate free water, sediment and contaminants.
The Fuel Stabiliser can be installed downstream as an optional complementary component, before the engine fuel filter and injection system.
The layout is indicative. The actual configuration must be verified according to the fuel type, system flow rate and installation requirements

Water and contaminant separation before the main filter
The Micro Separator is installed in the fuel line between the tank and the filtration system.
The internal fuel flow promotes the separation of free water, sludge and solid particles. These contaminants collect in the lower section of the unit and can be removed through periodic draining.
Microseparators
Main features:
- separation of free water and contaminants;
- installation upstream of the main fuel filter;
- no mechanically moving parts;
- periodic draining of collected water and residues;
- models available for different flow rates.
Fuel Stabiliser
Complementary magnetic fuel treatment
The Fuel Stabiliser is installed directly in the fuel line.
As the fuel passes through the unit, it is exposed to a permanent magnetic field, without moving parts or replaceable filter elements.
The Fuel Stabiliser does not physically separate water, sludge or particles. It is therefore used as a complementary component together with a fuel-water separation system.
Main features:
- in-line magnetic fuel treatment;
- no mechanically moving parts;
- no replaceable filter cartridges;
- models available for different flow rates;
- designed for complementary use with the Micro Separator.

Two different and complementary functions
Micro Separator
Physically separates:
- free water;
- sludge;
- sediment;
- solid particles in the fuel flow.
Fuel Stabiliser
Complements the treatment system:
- installed directly in the fuel line;
- exposes the fuel to a permanent magnetic field;
- operates without filter elements;
- does not replace the separator, fuel filter or regular maintenance.
The Micro Separator physically removes water and contaminants. The Fuel Stabiliser provides complementary fuel treatment.
A range for different fuel systems
Micro Separator and Fuel Stabiliser units are available in different models, flow capacities, dimensions and connection sizes.
The correct model should not be selected on engine power alone. In systems with fuel recirculation, the total circuit flow rate must be considered, including fuel used for cooling and returned to the tank.
Information required for an initial assessment:
- fuel type;
- maximum circuit flow rate;
- tank volume;
- engine type and power;
- connection size;
- available installation space;
- known presence of water or contamination.
FAQ
Are the Micro Separator and Fuel Stabiliser alternatives?
No. The Micro Separator physically separates water and contaminants, while the Fuel Stabiliser provides complementary fuel treatment.
Does the Micro Separator replace the fuel filter?
No. It operates upstream of the main filter and helps reduce the amount of free water and contaminants reaching downstream components.
Does the Fuel Stabiliser remove water and particles?
No. It does not physically collect water, sludge or solid particles. A dedicated fuel-water separator is required for this function.
Can the Fuel Stabiliser be installed on its own?
The manufacturer recommends using it together with a fuel-water separation system. The final configuration must be assessed according to the installation.
Which model should I choose?
The correct model depends on the total flow rate, tank volume, engine type, connection size and any combination of Micro Separator and Fuel Stabiliser units.
