Stainless steel inspection hatches for fuel and water tanks, available in 100, 150 and 200 mm diameters.
Inspection hatches for tanks provide access to the inside of the tank for inspection, cleaning and maintenance operations.
The models available from Scandiesel are manufactured in stainless steel, supplied complete with gaskets, and are available in 100, 150 and 200 mm diameters.
They are primarily designed for fuel tanks, but they can also be used on water tanks. They are suitable for installation on tanks made of steel, plastic and fibreglass.
Why install an inspection hatch?
Access to the inside of a tank is particularly important during maintenance operations.
An inspection hatch makes it possible to:
- check the internal condition of the tank;
- identify deposits or contamination;
- make cleaning operations easier;
- simplify maintenance work;
- carry out periodic inspections without removing the tank.
In fuel tanks, internal inspection can be especially useful for checking the presence of water, residues or deposits that may accumulate on the bottom over time.
Inspection Hatches for Tanks: Available Diameters
The range includes three diameters:
| Diameter | Features | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| 100 mm | Also available with transparent window | Inspection and visual checks in restricted spaces |
| 150 mm | Intermediate opening size | Inspection and routine maintenance |
| 200 mm | Larger access opening | Easier access for cleaning and maintenance |
The choice of diameter mainly depends on the size of the tank, the space available for installation and the type of access required for inspection and maintenance.
00 mm Inspection Hatch with Transparent Window
The 100 mm inspection hatch is also available with a transparent window.

This version allows, where the tank configuration permits, a visual inspection of the inside of the tank without removing the hatch.
It can be particularly useful for periodic checks and for quickly assessing the internal condition of the tank.

Suitable for Tanks Made from Different Materials
The inspection hatches can be used on tanks made of:
- steel
- plastic
- fibreglass
They are supplied complete with gaskets and, to ensure proper sealing, the mounting surface should be suitable and the fastening elements should be tightened evenly.
